EPISODE 1: DISCOVERY CORAL

EPISODE 1 VIDEO

In this week’s World’s Most Exciting Classroom, DARWIN200 Project Leader provides an overview of Charles Darwin’s research and discoveries. We then beam to the Ocean Conservation Trust to discover coral and the ecological diversity and conservation of coral reefs. An experiment to understand ocean acidification is launched (download the instruction PDF below) – run this experiment at your school or at home and submit your results within two weeks to win prizes! We then beam live to the historic tall ship Oosterschelde, and speak to the sailors and researchers voyaging towards the Canary Islands. Lastly, can you guess what this week’s curiosity of the week is (submit your answers on this page and find out next week).
